 Washington\, DC comes the musical comedy Shirley Dreaming with performance
 s on Saturday\, July 31st and Sunday\, August 1st at the Perishable Theatr
 e. This is the first work ever presented by the Apron Theatre Company\, a 
 new\, DC-based production company that seeks to redefine the theatre exper
 ience through interactions between the audience and the artist.   Written 
 by recent college grad Tyler Budde with an original score by brother Craig
  Budde\, Shirley Dreaming incorporates digital set design and sketch monta
 ges\, original choreography\, experimental sound technology\, and a live p
 it band to creatively bring the story to life.  Shirley Dreaming is a magi
 cally realistic musical comedy about a young graduate\, Shirley\, a chroni
 c daydreamer with a singing habit\, and her struggle to accept that life a
 fter college is not all she expected. When Shirley is unknowingly put in c
 harge of a failing children's book company she must defend herself against
  the company's unhappy employees.\n\nStart time: 2pm and 8pm
