This six-week class will establish a basic directing vocabulary from table work and text analysis to working with actors. Through a series of exercises and peer feedback, students will learn tools that are applicable to a variety of texts; classical, modern or self-authored. Connect to your own theatrical point of view through learning basic principles! Actors and some limited rehearsal space will be provided, but most work can be completed in class.
