The eternally imaginative Pilobolus – one of the great pioneers of American contemporary dance – thrills audiences with ingenious choreography, daring physicality, and raw athleticism, spiced with the sensuality of the human body and a hefty dose of humor. Arms, legs, and torsos are molded into ever-shifting shapes, while spectacular lighting and costumes complete the otherworldly effect of human sculptures folding and unfolding. FirstWorks Festival Opening Night, co-presented by FirstWorks, PPAC and the City of Providence.
