An Evening with Dr. Maya Angelou

Dr. Angelou is best known for her series of six autobiographical volumes, which focus on her childhood and early adulthood experiences. Her work has earned her many honors, including more than 30 honorary degrees and a Pulitzer Prize nomination for her 1971 volume of poetry, Just Give Me a Cool Drink of Water ‘Fore I Diiie. All proceeds from the event will benefit Day One and the work the agency does to support adult and child survivors of sexual violence.
