URI Feinstein Providence Campus & The International Gallery of Heritage & Culture present Mother Africa: Film Premiere “The Funeral of a Chief” by Munir Mohammed Celebrating Black History Month.
The premiere of a documentary film The Funeral of a Chief by Munir Mohammed, explores a little documented sacred ritual followed by dialogue with Ghanian born artist Munir Mohammed.
The exhibit and events explore Africa’s history and the dynamic influence it has on the world featuring the artwork of Munir Mohammed along with local professional and community artists. The exhibit runs January 24-Febraury 25, 2011.
