Providence Roller Derby’s all-stars, the Rhode Island Riveters, challenge Montreal’s “New Skids on the Block,” followed by a bonus B-team match-up! Providence, RI- Providence Roller Derby's Rhode Island Riveters are ready to leave it all on the track in their last bout of the season on August 13th.

Playing the famed Montreal’s ‘New Skids on the Block,’ the Riveters will have to defend against some wiley jamming from the likes of Ewan Wotarmy and Iron Wench, as well as navigating around colorful blockers Georgia W. Tush and Jess Bandit. But no worries, our own Ruca A. Salt’s seasoning has soaked in, and Jetta Von Diesel is back in the game. It’s showtime. Stick around to watch a bout with PRD’s traveling B team, the Killah Beez, playing the Montreal Sexpos. Captained by Cindy Lou Screw and Shamblock, the Beez venom is stronger than ever! Bzzzzzz…. At both half times, listen to the upstanding music of “The Throttles,” a folk-rocking good time!

And after the bout, come celebrate with us at the Whiskey Republic, 515 South Water Street. The stellar band ‘The Criminals’ will aid our merriment from 9-11pm, and then PRD will get their hip-checking groove on with a DJ and dancing until close.
