An opera manager's nightmare - five minute's to curtain and the tenor is unable to take the stage. What's a fellow to do? Send in his able and available assistant. So begins this farce of mistaken identity, jealousy, and rumor. Ken Ludwig's slapstick comedy was nominated for seven Tony Awards after its premier on Broadway and has been called "true comic delirium" by Charles Isherwood of The New York Times.
