Roger Williams Park Zoo

The mission of Roger Williams Park Zoo is to contribute significantly to the conservation of the earth's dwindling natural resources and to serve the community as a valued resource for education, economic development and recreation.     05/05/12- 06/02/12	Preschool Adventures: River Otter Roger Williams Park Zoo Preschool Adventures: River Otter Presented by Roger Williams Park Zoo at Roger Williams Park Zoo May 5-June 2, 2012 Slip…slide…rough and tumble…river otters at play! While survival is serious business, these sleek and sassy mammals always find the time to have some fun! Join us for a peek into the world of the river otter.   Programs include a lesson, activities and a craft. Class size 8 -12.
    05/05/12- 06/02/12	Zoo Explorers: River Otters Roger Williams Park Zoo Zoo Explorers: River Otters Presented by Roger Williams Park Zoo at Roger Williams Park Zoo May 5-June 2, 2012 Come have fun while learning more about our world and the animals in it! This exciting hour-long program is designed for children 6-8 years old, who have moved on from the adult/child pairs of our pre-school programs. Spend some time in the classroom exploring biofacts and other activities, and then head outside to learn more about adaptations, niches and behaviors through Zoo exploration.
    02/04/12- 06/02/12	Wild Art! Roger Williams Park Zoo Wild Art! Presented by Roger Williams Park Zoo at Roger Williams Park Zoo February 4-June 2, 2012 Join local artists in creating beautiful pieces of animal art! Instructors will lead drawing lessons designed to cultivate new skills and sharpen old ones while having fun and learning about zoo animals. Students will leave the class with a completed drawing featuring the animal of that month’s theme.  Ages 6 - 12, Class Size 8 - 15.

    Hasbro’s Our Big Backyard Grand Opening Roger Williams Park Zoo Hasbro’s Our Big Backyard Grand Opening Presented by Roger Williams Park Zoo at Roger Williams Park Zoo June 4, 2012 This new kind of children's zoo, opening in Summer 2012,  will offer families an experience unlike any other in the Zoo. Components will include Our House, an indoor activity space that will host everything from interactive story times and up-close animal encounters to birthday parties; The Backyard, an ultimate play space featuring three separate activity zones – The Creativity Corner, The Sticks & Stones Building Zone and The Drip Dry Water Garden; and Beyond the...

    Father' Day Discount Roger Williams Park Zoo Father' Day Discount Presented by Roger Williams Park Zoo at Roger Williams Park Zoo June 19, 2012 All fathers will receive free admission to the Zoo on Father's Day (when accompanied by a child). Take dad to the Zoo for a relaxing wild adventure!
