Providence Inner City Arts' Roots Cafe

The mission of the Roots Café is to provide a center for people to meet, converse, and interact while experiencing vibrant performances and art exhibitions of the highest quality. The Café will also provide a robust outreach program through the arts to the community at large. Of paramount importance is the role that the Café will play in bringing together the diverse people of Providence and Rhode Island and in encouraging and provoking thought, inspiring hope and creating broad community understanding.

Dance the rhumba, merenge, cha cha & salsa!!
    02/08/12- Ongoing	Wednesday Open Mic Providence Inner City Arts' Roots Cafe Wednesday Open Mic Presented by Providence Inner City Arts' Roots Cafe at Providence Inner City Arts' Roots Cafe February 8, 2012 - Ongoing It starts at 7:00 - goes till 10:00/10:30. Sign up at starts at 6:30. Performers who get there early will get to perform 2 songs (roughly 10 min of stage time). Performers who sign up after 8:00 may only get to do 1 song, depending on how many artists are there. The result is that he plays music with sweetness and daring.” Abate is also an adjunct professor of Jazz Studies at Rhode Island College, and is a very active jazz clinician...
