Gallery Talk followed by Vertov's 1929 Man With a Movie Camera with Live Musical Accompaniment.

6:30pm -- Gallery Talk in the Museum. The exhibition's organizer, Maya Allison, will discuss the 1920s avant-garde films and recent music videos on view in the gallery, exploring themes of technology, urbanization, dream narratives, and musicality of the moving image.

Watch this legendary silent film brought to life with live music , the way films of this period were originally shown. Piano accompaniment by Yakov Gubanov, composer-in-residence at the Harvard Film Archive and Associate Professor at Berklee College of Music.
